WHATS NEW AT NEWBURY GARDEN CENTRE?

This is a large garden centre at Hermitage just outside Newbury. The centre is easy to reach from all directions, being just 1 mile from the A34, 1 mile from junction 13 on the M4 and just off of the B4009, the Newbury – Streatly road.
 
 The shop is ever changing, with new displays following the seasons and helping to make shopping easier for customers. This has a lot to do with the Manager Nick Robey and the Shop Supervisor Joan Leach both offering over 10 years experience at the center.  Nick Robey ran the landscaping department for 6 years before becoming the Manager, which shows due to the well stocked fencing, pot and compost areas.

 Newbury has a variety of departments from the traditional garden wear, furniture and pot plant sections to a popular food hall and a well stocked pet and bird care section.    

        
 Dean Powles, Plant Area Manager started with Hillier at Newbury after some propagation experience at a specialist Fuchsia grower, then moved to our Plant Centre for some useful experience and is now back at Newbury as Plant Area Manager. Newbury has one of the largest plant areas of any centre in the Hillier group. It's a challenge to fill it and make sure all the stock is fresh and well maintained. You only have to walk out of the shop into the covered section of the plant area to see that the outside staff are up to the task!
