Join Richard, the Garden Centre Manager, and his staff for a special private visit to this famous Somerset garden. Planted in 1992, it is an inspiration to any gardener. Set over 12 acres, including a pond, cottage and prarie planting
After your trip round the gardens you will be ready for a delicious lunch back at the Bath Garden Centre Coffee Shop. After lunch take time to browse around the centre and take advantage of a 10% discount off any plants purchased on the day
The situation is stunning. On a clear day you can see miles across countryside from the South West facing terrace of the coffee shop. This view may be one of the reasons that the Bath coffee shop is the most popular in the group, or it could just be the cakes and meals they prepare on site.
As you may have guessed, the site is on a hill but the abundance of trolleys and very helpful staff ensure that no customer need fret where gradients are concerned.
In 2004 the centre was redeveloped and 2 impressive new buildings were erected on site-one to improve storage and goods inwards facilities, and the second to create a new greenhouse for bedding and outdoor plants and related products. The development marks an exciting phase in the improvements of the garden centre and its facilities. The staff worked closely with the local Planning authorities to ensure the buildings were in keeping with existing buildings on site and sympathetic to the architecture and heritage of the City of Bath itself.
Access into and around the store is now much improved; particularly in the Plant Area where new ramps and pathways have been installed. The centre has a new Manager, Richard Ratcliffe, who joined the team in February 2007 from our Sunningdale branch, who, along with the staff team, look forward to welcoming you.
